The Senior Space Strategy & Solutions Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving customer-centric space, assortment, and category strategies across the Large Store Retail channel. This role leverages advanced analytics, space planning technology, and modern data solutions to deliver scalable, insight-driven outcomes that fuel customer and category growth. With a primary focus on Large Store Retail customers, this role balances strategic leadership and technical enablement with ownership of key executional deliverables. Success in this role requires the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies, while advancing how space planning is delivered through automation, connected workflows, and technology adoption.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead development of space, assortment, and category strategies aligned to customer and channel priorities
Deliver fact-based, insight-driven recommendations to optimize shelf productivity and drive growth
Serve as a strategic partner to customers and customer teams, influencing space allocation and merchandising decisions
Leverage space planning, analytics, and data visualization tools (e.g., Blue Yonder, Power BI, 345) to enhance decision-making and efficiency
Integrate multiple data sources (scan, syndicated, custom, store-level) to generate actionable insights
Identify and implement automation and process improvements to scale solutions and improve speed to insight
Own development of planogram and schematics for key customers acting as either a captain, advisor or validator to the customer and internal team, ensuring alignment to strategic intent and customer objectives
Ideate and collaborate with our technical team on new capabilities and tools, strengthening both technical expertise and strategic thinking
Manage cross-functional space projects, defining scope, success metrics, and delivering outcomes with clear business impact
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other graduate degree preferred
5+ years of experience in CPG (7+ years preferred), category management, or space planning
Strong expertise in space planning, category analytics, and customer engagement
Experience with space planning software (e.g., Blue Yonder) and data/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, advanced Excel)
Exposure to automation, scripting, or process optimization capabilities
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations
Demonstrated influence stakeholders and connect category strategies to customer outcomes
SKILLS
Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation - Ability to synthesize multiple data sources and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations
Technology & Tools Proficiency - Strong aptitude with space planning software, data visualization tools (Power BI), and emerging technologies
Automation & Process Optimization - Experience identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline workflows and scale outputs
Strategic Thinking - Ability to link category insights to customer strategy and long-term growth opportunities
Customer Influence & Communication - Strong ability to present insights and influence decision-making with internal and external stakeholders
Project Management - Ability to manage multiple priorities, define success metrics, and deliver high-quality outcomes efficiently

Pay Range:
United States of America: $139,600 - $157,900Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
