Days/Hours of Work:  Monday- Friday  8pm to 5am 

Job Summary

The Shipping/Receiving Specialist is responsible for daily organization of inbound and outbound warehouse operations including pallet ticket process and movement of delivery vehicles.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the pallet ticket process for order builders.  Assigns picking tasks to available resources in the warehouse by coordinating and documenting inbound and outbound activities for daily warehouse operations.
  • Ensure that trailers are properly loaded.  Evaluates and sequences cross dock shipments in SAP and validates these cross-dock shipments for accuracy and compliance before shipping/receiving.
  • Responsible for moving delivery vehicles during loading and maintains proper sequence of trailers brought to loading dock.
  • Oversees the safety of the dock area and inspects the condition of trailers and tractors.
  • Responsible for staging completed pallets in designated shipping areas.
  • Maintains the OOS table in POD and communicates to the floor.
  • Accountable for all product, including CO2 tanks, loaded onto each truck before it leaves for delivery to the customer.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience required.
  • Prior experience in warehouse or distribution operations required.
  • Capable of moving trucks in/out of the dock for loading.
  • Prior experience using pallet jack or forklift preferred.  Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including SAP, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical thought process and problem-solving capabilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Speaking: Constantly (investigates, negotiates, recommends, reports, etc.)
  • Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)
  • Mobility: Frequent travel throughout warehouse (walking)
  • Bending/Squatting: Constantly (picking up product, moving product)
  • Lifting: Frequent- Lift 50 lbs. or less (full cases of product)
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons.

Pay: $19 an hour
