Job Summary

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of daily operations of fleet maintenance within a designated area and ensures that fleet equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervises operations, ensuring company policies, procedures, and applicable DOT and OSHA regulations are followed.  
  • Ensures that preventative maintenance programs are being followed at all locations.  
  • Ensures accuracy of documentation generated by employees/vendor shops for all maintenance activities.  
  • Coordinates with all functional areas to ensure that equipment needs are met.  
  • Ensures all repairs are performed in a cost-effective manner and identifies warranty opportunities.  
  • Assists subordinates in making decisions concerning efficiency of shop operations.  
  • Ensures that parts inventories are maintained at correct efficiency levels.  
  • Ensures proper disposal and documentation of waste stream items and that all vehicles are prepared for transfer or disposal as needed.  

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of work experience.
  • Previous experience with fleet maintenance required.
  • Two years supervision or leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficient analytical thought process and problem-solving capabilities required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including communicating with employees, customers, and suppliers in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
  • Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, driving record within policy guidelines.

Pay: $56,170 - $66,702 a year
