Salary/Hourly Rate: £14.80 per hour
Location: Comapss House, Guildford Street, Chertsey, KT16 9BQ
Reporting to: Head Chef
Hours/Working Pattern: 40 hours per week over 5 days
Contractual Requirements: Candidates must be aged 18+

We're currently recruiting for an ambitious Apprentice commis chef to join our team and help deliver exceptional experiences for RA Group on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

This Apprentice Commis Chef role is based at Compass House, the UK corporate headquarters of Compass Group UK & Ireland, located on Guildford Street in Chertsey, Surrey. You'll be working in a professional and supportive kitchen environment providing food services for colleagues based on site.

As an apprentice commis chef, you will work alongside a passionate and supportive team, gaining hands-on experience while developing your skills through structured training. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided as part of the apprenticeship!

On completion of the Apprenticeship, you will achieve the Commis Chef L2 and become a qualified commis chef.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Preparing, cooking & presenting dishes to required standard and protion spec. 
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen at all times. 
  • Ensure correct use of all equipment
  • Ensure food is recovered and stored correctly to minimise waste 
  • Assist with the processing of food orders
  • Perform general tasks to support effective food service delivery on a daily basis. 
  • Minimise waste and store food correctly
  • Perform other general tasks to support effective food service delivery as reasonably requested
