The IT Service Desk Intern supports daily IT operations by assisting with technical support requests, device provisioning, account management, and documentation. This role provides hands-on experience in enterprise IT environments while developing foundational skills in troubleshooting, customer service, and IT service management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and access-related issues
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including laptop provisioning and account setup
- Troubleshoot basic Windows and macOS issues
- Support password resets, MFA enrollment, and access requests
- Document incidents and requests in the IT service management system (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Assist with asset management, inventory tracking, and device imaging
- Contribute to knowledge base documentation and process improvement efforts
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 or senior engineers as appropriate
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, or ticketing systems is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
