The Product Strategy & Operations Lead is a high‑impact, hands‑on individual contributor who operates at the intersection of product operations, strategy enablement, documentation, and emerging capabilities. This role is designed for a versatile operator-someone who can flex across initiatives, connect dots quickly, and turn ideas into execution.
Acting as a force multiplier for the Payments CPO organization and the Specialist brings structure to ambiguity, accelerates cross‑functional programs, and raises the bar on clarity, consistency, and operational rigor. While this role does not own product strategy, it plays a critical role in enabling strategy to land, scale, and drive measurable outcomes.
This role requires a highly versatile operator who can flex across program management, product operations, research, and communications-bringing structure to ambiguity and consistently driving execution and outcomes.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Chief of Staff-Style Support to the CPO Team (Execution & Enablement)
Translate CPO priorities into clear, well‑structured communication assets that drive alignment across the product organization.
Support preparation of executive‑level materials (e.g., leadership reviews, operating updates, strategy readouts) by shaping concise, insight‑driven narratives.
Capture decisions, actions, and follow‑ups from leadership forums and ensure consistent tracking and closure.
Coordinate agendas, schedules, and materials for CPO‑led forums and product leadership sessions to ensure smooth execution and high signal‑to‑noise.
Product & Documentation Transformation (Clarity at Scale)
Assess the current documentation and content landscape by gathering artifacts, cataloging assets, and identifying gaps or inconsistencies.
Support definition of future‑state documentation workflows, standards, and governance models through research and concept development.
Execute documentation improvements, including content restructuring, updates, and migration activities.
Research and apply best practices in product documentation, content design, and developer/customer experience.
Perform content audits to improve quality, consistency, and usability across product materials.
Program Management & Operational Excellence
Support cross‑functional initiatives by coordinating plans, tracking milestones, gathering updates, and preparing status reports.
Maintain dashboards, templates, KPIs, and governance artifacts that support operational transparency and decision‑making.
Help product managers articulate value propositions through product summaries, narratives, and customer‑facing documentation.
Document repeatable processes and ensure materials are organized, current, and easy to find.
Build and maintain playbooks, repositories, templates, and taxonomies that enable teams to work faster and more consistently.
Track and report on documentation performance metrics (e.g., usage, search data, feedback) to inform continuous improvement.
Research & Enablement for Next‑Generation Capabilities
Research AI tools, product trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies relevant to product operations and experience.
Synthesize findings into clear briefs and recommendations for leadership consideration.
Support small pilots and experiments by testing workflows, gathering data, and documenting outcomes.
Assist in evaluating potential product, process, or content enhancements with a bias toward practical impact.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in product operations, program management, strategy enablement, or Chief of Staff-style roles, ideally within a product-led or technology environment
Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguity and drive execution, managing cross-functional initiatives and aligning diverse stakeholders
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience creating executive-level materials and distilling complex concepts into clear, actionable insights
Strong operational rigor and organizational capability, including building playbooks, documentation frameworks, and scalable processes
Analytical, proactive, and highly self-directed, with exposure to product lifecycle practices and an interest in emerging technologies (including AI) and modern product operating models
