What does a great Business Analyst do?
- This is an exciting opportunity to join a team working on the cutting edge of the payment industry. The position allows you to contribute to the development of industry leading technology that supports the payment needs for banking organizations of all sizes. You will interact with Bank Product and Payment Operations team. You will lead the analysis of client requirements and work with product team to ensure they are implemented as designed.
As a Business Analyst, you can look forward to
- Managing the analysis phase of a project with the possibility of one or more BA’s aligned to them to support its delivery.
- Collecting, understanding, and communicating the business requirements for the project, and translating these into functional specifications and detailed test analysis that can be utilized by the development teams.
- Collaborating with product architects and technical architects/leads to define solutions.
- Documenting the results of business analysis and obtaining sign-off from stakeholders/clients
- Designing, specifying, and executing business test scenarios
- Communicating with the client’s subject matter experts and system users to identify business needs and/or resolve product issues, during clearing development, sales meetings and/or workshops.
- Facilitating scoping for client/prospect payments change initiatives of varying size and complexity.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration
- Minimum 5 years of business analyst experience in the payments industry.
- Financial Services industry experience: Payments experience strongly preferred, both US and international based clearings, examples include: SWIFT, RTP, ACH, Lynx, TIPS, Target2, SEPA
- Strong understanding of payment flows –qualification processes, return flows, exception handling.
- Experience in mapping payment data into clearing message structure – specifically as it relates to upcoming industry movement to ISO20022 MX format.
- Familiarity with standard software development concepts, practices, and procedures with regard to quality gates, and documentation
- Experience working in JIRA, Git and XML Min
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Travel required as needed.
What would be great to have:
- Since we are supporting banks, it would be beneficial for you to have banking payment operations experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently to resolve most client inquiries and manage engagements to provide a positive client experience.
