Sub-Jobber Manager

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Sub-Jobber Manager to lead business growth within the Sub-Jobber Channel.
This role owns the channel strategy, program development, and execution required to achieve distribution and sales volume targets.

The Sub-Jobber Trade Manager will oversee all aspects of business management across targeted partners, working cross-functionally with Trade Marketing, Retail, and Wholesale teams. Success in this role will be measured by clearly defined KPIs and sustained business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to ensure JTI LIGGETT remains competitive and positioned for growth within the Sub-Jobber Channel.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and enhance the effectiveness of Sub-Jobber programs.

  • Develop and manage account programs, state expansion initiatives, and new product introductions.

  • Leverage data analytics to drive innovation, optimize processes, and improve efficiency and program effectiveness.

  • Monitor program performance, ensuring KPIs are achieved and business objectives are met.

  • Lead program administration, including development of clear guidelines, selling materials, tracking systems, and payment processes.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Finance, Wholesale Managers, and Retail teams to ensure seamless execution and full compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

  • Gather feedback from field teams, share best practices, and implement adjustments to continuously improve program impact.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the Sub-Jobber network.

  • Actively participate in direct selling initiatives to ensure programs deliver intended commercial results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management roles with strong strategic and program development capabilities.

  • Direct experience within the wholesale and tobacco trade, with a proven record of delivering successful trade programs and achieving KPIs.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and drive results within the Sub-Jobber Channel.

  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).

  • Strong business and financial acumen with advanced analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to build compelling business cases and present persuasive, data-backed recommendations.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

  • Willingness and ability to travel within the U.S. market.
