About the Role

At Klaviyo, our Sales team prides itself on being genuine experts in marketing and product—not just closers. As a Lead Solutions Architect working with our Mid-Market and Enterprise segment, you'll be at the heart of some of our most strategic deals, helping prospects and clients understand exactly how Klaviyo fits into—and elevates—their technology stack.

We're growing our presence in Italy, and this is a unique opportunity to join as a founding member of that effort. You'll work directly with prospects, clients, and partners to build deep technical relationships, design solutions, and create the kind of trust that turns evaluations into long-term partnerships. You'll bring a consultant-first mindset, a builder's instinct, and the credibility to operate confidently from developer to C-suite.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Transform workflows by putting AI at the center, building smarter systems and ways of working from the ground up.
  • Continuously experiment with AI tools—testing, learning, and sharing insights to keep the team ahead of the curve, and championing new applications that accelerate workflows and elevate quality responsibly.
  • Apply AI fluency to streamline your work and reinvest saved time into higher-impact technical engagements.
  • Lead technical pre-sales campaigns end-to-end—from discovery through to technical selection—partnering closely with Account Executives to drive revenue outcomes.
  • Run deep technical discovery to understand prospects' current architectures, business challenges, and the opportunities Klaviyo can unlock for them.
  • Organise and facilitate technical workshops that bring together developers and business stakeholders to align solutions with real outcomes.
  • Develop and execute value demonstration plans that clearly differentiate Klaviyo against the competition and accelerate technical wins.
  • Become the authoritative internal expert on the Klaviyo platform—data pipelines, integration codebases, and the trade-offs between implementation approaches.
  • Prototype and build integration specifications, custom solutions, and reusable assets that advance both individual deals and the broader pre-sales practice.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by feeding technical insights and client needs back to Product and Developer Experience teams to influence the roadmap.
  • Raise the capability of the wider team by training Sales colleagues and sharing technical knowledge that creates a consistently excellent Klaviyo experience in market.

Who You Are

  • You've already experimented with AI in work or personal projects, and you're excited to dive in and learn fast. You're hungry to responsibly explore new AI tools and workflows, finding ways to make your work smarter and more efficient.
  • You use AI tools to accelerate exploration, shorten iteration cycles, and bring sharper ideas to the table—you don't wait to be told what to try.
  • You're based in Milan and available to be in-office three days per week.
  • You're fluent in both Italian and English—able to lead technical workshops, build relationships, and navigate complex deals with confidence in either language.
  • You bring 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, or in a role architecting software products at scale.
  • You have 5+ years working hands-on with web development languages (JavaScript, Node.js, React), REST APIs, and/or general-purpose languages such as Python.
  • You have strong working knowledge across several of the following: marketing automation, CDPs, ecommerce platforms, mobile applications, analytics, adtech, or data science—and a proven ability to learn new domains quickly.
  • You're a credible technical communicator—able to articulate value and build trust with audiences ranging from developers to directors, and to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • You have a salesperson's instinct—driven by customer outcomes, skilled at uncovering problems, and experienced closing technical deals in partnership with Account Executives.
  • You're familiar with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC and apply them naturally to qualify and advance complex opportunities.
  • You stay ahead of the curve—tracking the evolving technical landscape and integrating modern, optimised solutions that bring genuine value to clients.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience building or contributing to integration frameworks, partner ecosystems, or developer tooling.
  • Prior experience in the Italian market or with Italian ecommerce and retail brands.
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo or comparable B2C CRM and marketing automation platforms.
