About the Role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Kenya will drive new business growth across law firms, corporates, and public sector clients to win new LexisNexis customers in Kenya and consistently achieve new-business revenue targets. The role focuses on expanding LexisNexis' market share in legal, compliance, and risk intelligence solutions (including Lexis+ AI and GRC). The BDM will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
The successful individual will be highly self-driven and independent, comfortable being out in the field daily, obsessed with activity, momentum and closing, and able to operate without the need for close supervision.
What Success Looks Like
Responsibilities
Sales Delivery:
Achieve revenue and KPI targets, manage end-to-end sales cycle, maintain accurate CRM records.
Market Development:
Identify new clients, prospect via LinkedIn/events, expand footprint across sectors.
Solution Selling:
Conduct discovery meetings and showcasing LexisNexis products and solutions, customize proposals per client segment. Conduct daily and weekly Face to Face meetings
Market Intelligence:
Track competitors, provide local insights.
Governance and Reporting:
Deliver weekly pipeline forecasts, comply with quotation and billing processes.
