Please Note: This role will require working in client offices 2-3 days per week, with an option to work from home 2 days per week.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Guiding clients through the development consent order (DCO) process.
- Managing development of effective consenting strategies and approaches.
- Co-ordinating the delivery of quality DCO applications in line with the schedule, client requirements and to comply with legislation, policy and good practice.
- Providing technical advice and input into documentation that will form part of or otherwise support a compliant DCO application.
- Assurance of DCO-related deliverables including DCO application documents.
- Developing and managing processes to achieve and maintain compliance with consent requirements and commitments.
- Securing and managing technical resources, as well as setting the scope of works for technical resources.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to facilitate effective internal and external stakeholder engagement.
- Providing specialised input into general project management activities, including schedule management, resource management and risk management processes.
- Supporting stakeholder, consultation and community engagement activities.
- Supporting design development and integration activities.
- Supporting achievement of project approvals where required, including stage gate reviews, business cases and governance papers.
You’ll need to have:
- Extensive experience delivering DCO applications within nationally significant infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of Planning Act 2008 and town and country planning frameworks
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective consenting strategies.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement across authorities, consultees and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong consultancy capability, managing complexity, ambiguity and tight deadlines.
- Degree-qualified, chartered professional with significant infrastructure project experience.
