Business Development Manager

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Business Development team at Marsh Romania. This role will be based in Bucharest. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be a dynamic and creative force driving our growth, engaging with top leaders, and expanding our footprint in the insurance sector through innovative B2B sales strategies. You will collaborate closely with the Commercial Leader to craft and execute impactful sales initiatives across diverse product lines.

We will count on you to:

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, elevating partnership opportunities
  • Represent Marsh with confidence and creativity at industry events, corporate gatherings, and professional networking forums
  • Design and implement sales plans that fuel lead generation and opportunity qualification on monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual cycles
  • Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process with precision, ensuring timely and compelling submissions
  • Leverage analytical insights to forecast sales, monitor KPIs, and measure success effectively
  • Lead engaging client interactions including discovery meetings, presentations, and strategic planning sessions
  • Maintain accurate client records and manage interactions using Salesforce.com
  • Navigate complex sales processes with agility and handle client objections persuasively
  • Achieve individual annual sales targets as set by the Commercial Leader
  • Provide clear and insightful sales and productivity reports to leadership

What you need to have:

  • Proven success in B2B sales with at least 5 years' experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or similar role
  • Solid understanding of the insurance industry and a proven sales track record
  • Excellent written and spoken English; native Romanian speaker
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and planning capabilities
  • Established industry connections with sales potential
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.com
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field
  • Valid driving license
