Skills and Competencies

  • Hands-on experience with SQL, with the ability to query and analyze large datasets across relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, as well as NoSQL databases including DynamoDB and MongoDB
  • Strong track record of partnering with data engineers and navigating complex data infrastructure to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions
  • Experience working within agile methodologies, including leading sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to support iterative product delivery
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders, aligning product, engineering, QA, and business teams
  • Results-oriented mindset, using metrics and client feedback to prioritize work, assess impact, and drive continuous improvement
  • Experience within the finance industry, with an understanding of the importance of data quality, timeliness, and regulatory alignment
  • Proactive approach to promoting automation, scalability, and operational efficiency throughout the data product lifecycle
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency, along with an interest in developing awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of data products within the MoodyViews product organization, ensuring scalable, high-quality data solutions that support analytical workflows and enterprise data delivery.
  • Lead the delivery of data products in collaboration with cross-functional teams including data engineering, QA, technology, and business strategy
  • Translate business needs into clear data requirements with a strong focus on data workflows, scalability, and performance
  • Own and manage the data product backlog, prioritizing features, technical tasks, and enhancements based on business value, effort, and dependencies
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate understanding of data structures, source systems, and integration logic
  • Actively manage agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Ensure data quality, documentation, lineage, and governance standards are consistently upheld
  • Identify and drive opportunities to automate data workflows and reduce operational risk across the data lifecycle
  • Communicate product status, risks, trade-offs, and decisions clearly and effectively to stakeholders

About the Team

The Digital Content and Innovation team is responsible for managing Moody’s flagship research, data, and analytical platform, including its rapidly evolving GenAI-powered capabilities. The team plays a key role in shaping how Moody’s delivers data and content to customers globally, enabling faster, more informed decision-making across industries and market segments.
