The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our global 3rd‑line network team, based in our Madrid office. This is a high‑impact, project‑oriented role where you will tackle complex technical challenges, lead key network initiatives, and collaborate closely with colleagues across EMEA and the wider global technology organisation. You will play an active role in shaping network architecture and strategy within a large‑scale enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of network solutions for global projects.
- Drive automation and modernisation initiatives to improve network efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
- Ensure the security, stability, and operational integrity of global voice and data networks.
- Act as an escalation point for complex network incidents and contribute to architectural decision‑making.
- Create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation and knowledge resources.
- Participate in incident response and on‑call rotations, including occasional out‑of‑hours support.
Requirements:
- At least five years of hands‑on Cisco IOS and NX‑OS administration experience, supporting medium to large‑scale enterprise network environments spanning datacentres and a multi‑office EMEA footprint.
- Minimum of five years' experience administering Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto firewall platforms.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing protocols, QoS, VoIP, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Proven familiarity with Cisco DNA Centre, Cisco Secure Firewall Management Centre (SFMC), Cisco VPN solutions, WAN design and optimisation technologies, and relevant security standards.
- Experience with network automation, F5 local and global traffic management solutions, VMware virtualised environments, enterprise storage technologies, and Microsoft technologies (Windows networking, Active Directory, Exchange) is highly desirable.
- CCNP and/or ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong organisational skills, flexibility, and the ability to lead and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Excellent time‑management skills, with the ability to balance high‑quality delivery against competing operational priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clear documentation and effective stakeholder engagement.

Base Salary Compensation Range
EUR 47.000,00-65.666,66
Bonus Target:
12,5% Annual
We expect the compensation and target bonus for this role to fall within the stated range. The specific compensation offered will depend on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
