Total reward package: £65,071.00 per annum
Salary: £49,000 per annum (including London allowance, with up to £4,000 London weighting depending on home location)
Working hours: 40 hours per week (inclusive of travel time).

What You'll Be Doing

As a Dedicated Engineer Surveyor , you'll deliver statutory and contractual inspections of lifting and pressure equipment for a large, prestigious client located in the heart of the capital. This is a rare opportunity to operate on a walking route across Central London, inspecting equipment in high‑profile and busy environments.

You will apply your engineering knowledge, judgement, and attention to detail to conduct thorough examinations, produce compliant inspection reports, and help keep people, assets, and operations safe. You'll manage your own workload and diary, working flexibly to meet client and contractual needs while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

Equipment you may inspect includes:

  • Passenger and goods lifts
  • Building Maintenance Units
  • Plant room equipment, including refrigerant and minor pressure systems
  • Miscellaneous lifting equipment

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant engineering field
  • Practical experience applying statutory regulations such as LOLER 1998, PUWER 1998, and PSSR 2000
  • Understanding of British and ISO standards
  • Level 4 Engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent) desirable
    • Level 3 (NVQ or equivalent) considered with suitable experience
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft and Apple products
  • Holder of a full UK driving licence (or suitable international licence) with no more than 6 points
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and NPPV Level 2 vetting
