The Data and Insights Division is comprised of four keyareas:
Data Governance and Intelligence.
Data Acquisition, Quality, Strategy and Literacy.

Data Architecture, Platform and Engineering.

This presents an opportunity todesign a data strategy aligned with the organization's goals and implement thedelivery of data effectively. D&I enables SJP to leverage value from itsdata through actionable insights and data led decision making.

The Data Architecture, Platform and Engineering (DAPE)Division integrates architecture, platform and engineering to establishguidelines, principles and development standards for building a secure,resilient data platform for the future.

It plays a key role in supporting theSJP data ecosystem, driving towards the SJP data strategy and advancing thedecommissioning roadmap.

The role

You will be responsible for undertaking root cause analysis andtransforming data analyst into meaningful technical specifications for onwarddevelopment. You'll direct workstreams across projects, providing oversight,coordination, and technical leadership to secure successful data delivery.

What you'll be doing

Deep diving into data using route cause analysis to produce meaningful data
Manage changes to project requirements, ensuring they are clearly understood and delivered effectively by your team.
Engage early with new initiatives, helping build scope and objectives so data impacts and dependencies are fully understood.
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure Agile epics and stories are well defined and tracked through to delivery.
Ensure projects are scoped, initiated, and prioritised in line with organisational and change control processes.
Support smooth handover of project deliverables into Data Operations, with clear ownership and support models in place.

Essential skills and experience

Experienced in root cause/ data analysis
Snowflake and SQL Coding experience
Ability to explain complex technical topics to non‑technical audiences, including expertly advising when a technical approach may not be appropriate.
Strong collaboration skills, with experience building effective working relationships across multiple business areas.
Working closely with data engineering teams, ensuring requirements are clear and complete before development starts.
Experience working collaboratively alongside Product Managers, Business Analysts, Testers, and Developers, following project lifecycle guidelines.

Desirable experience

Familiarity with Agile delivery approaches such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean.
A solid grasp of data quality principles, including accuracy, consistency, validity, and integrity, and the value high‑quality data brings to the organisation.
