We are seeking a high calibre Director, Mobile Capabilities to lead and drive the development and commercialization of our SC Mobile banking App within the Wealth & Retail Banking business segment.
This role will be responsible for building a best-in-class mobile banking experience for retail banking across multiple products and client segments. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in digital banking, mobile apps, project management with a strong track record of execution, and the ability to navigate regulatory, risk, and operational complexity in a highly regulated banking environment.
a. Mobile Banking Strategy & Vision
- Define and execute the mobile capabilities roadmap aligned with the WRB strategy
- Champion a mobile-first approach to customer journeys, product distribution and service delivery.
- Identify and integrate the use of emerging technologies, including (Generative) AI to create innovation and market-first proposition.
b. Technology and Delivery
-Collaborate closely with Engineering, Architecture, Cybersecurity and Operations team to ensure secure, compliant and resilient mobile platforms
- Oversee agile delivery across multiple tabs of the SC Mobile App, ensuring quality, speed and superior customer experience
c. Regulatory & risk management
- Ensure full compliance with HKMA, and other applicable regulatory requirements related to TME1 and TMG1, etc.
- Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and AML teams to establish robust governance frameworks.
- Develop policies covering custody, transaction monitoring, market risk, operational risk, and cyber security in digital asset operations.
- Act as senior liaison with regulators on digital asset initiatives.
d. Stakeholder management
- With track record as a strong individual contributor whilst demonstrating leadership potential to drive a high-performing digital asset team.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and Retail Product teams.
- Present business cases and strategic updates to senior management and executive committees.
