DESCRIPTION
Join our collaborative sales team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute as an Account Manager. You will increase revenue and build lasting relationships with customers while representing our comprehensive portfolio of scientific products and services. Working in a supportive environment that values achievement and innovation, you'll help enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
In this role, you will develop and implement strategic sales plans, manage key account relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction through consultative selling. You'll work with cross-functional teams to provide tailored solutions that meet customer needs while achieving sales targets. Through a combination of customer visits and virtual engagement, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to help customers advance their scientific goals.
What you will do:
- Identify, prospect, and develop new customers through outbound sales activities, networking, referrals, conferences, seminars, and digital channels
- Utilize multiple channels such as phone calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, webinars, and industry events to generate and qualify leads
- Analyze existing accounts to identify and qualify potential customers, conducting proactive sales activities to promote our products and convert opportunities into revenue
- Expand business within existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and new application development
- Work with marketing teams to leverage campaigns, promotions, and events for lead generation
- Segment customers and potential customers by category to develop and execute targeted strategies for rapid deployment within similar segments
- Consistently update all sales activities and customer interactions in SFDC to maintain accurate pipeline visibility
- Drive Share Gain by strengthening sales effectiveness and expanding customer engagement across your territory
- Maintain accountability for sales targets with persistence and determination to achieve results
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in laboratory, scientific, or healthcare industries
- Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or related scientific field
- Prior experience selling Real-Time PCR, Digital PCR, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), Microarray (MA) equipment and related consumables preferred
- Technical knowledge and ability to understand customer applications and workflows, particularly with genetic science
- instrumentation including Real-Time PCR, Digital PCR, Capillary Electrophoresis, and Microarray platforms
- Strong lead generation capability with the ability to build a sustainable pipeline of new opportunities
- Ability to qualify leads, prioritize high-potential opportunities, and convert them into active sales funnels
- Strong hunting mindset with a proactive approach to uncovering untapped accounts and white-space opportunities
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activities to identify new business opportunities
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships at all levels
- Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office suite
- Analytical and strategic planning capabilities
- Results-oriented with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets
- Leadership capability with potential to lead and develop sales teams in the future
- Strong understanding and execution of Funnel Management principles
- Resilience and accountability for achieving revenue targets with a persistent, never-give-up attitude
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50-75% within assigned territory.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial
