Position Summary
Supporting applications across the entire drug development continuum—from early discovery to large-scale commercial production—Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a broad portfolio including single-use technologies, analytical instruments, cell culture systems and media, purification solutions, and analytics for detecting process and product impurities and contaminants.
This role is responsible for planning and executing sales activities while managing accounts across Pharmaceutical companies, Biotech, CGT (Cell & Gene Therapy), and Channel partners (distributors).
The position focuses on diversifying the sales structure, expanding market share, and driving new business development. You will be accountable for growing revenue within the assigned territory by advancing Thermo Fisher Scientific’s cell culture, single-use, purification, and pharma analytics solutions, while supporting adoption across the entire bioprocess workflow.
Responsibilities
- Engage with existing and new customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions via in-person visits and virtual channels
- Manage key accounts including pharmaceutical, biotech, CGT, F&B, and channel partners (distributors) within the assigned territory
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall team performance
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with divisional marketing strategies
- Utilize Salesforce.com for accurate demand planning, forecasting, and opportunity pipeline management
- Drive regional promotional initiatives and prioritize sales activities based on data analytics and marketing programs
- Strengthen relationships with customers and channel partners to drive revenue growth
- Improve lead-to-opportunity conversion rates and deliver a differentiated customer experience
- Collaborate with channel partners through regular communication and co-selling activities
- Support early-phase molecule development in biotech companies and follow through to commercialization
- Partner with internal teams and customers to identify and mitigate supply chain risks
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across a matrix organization
- Deliver customer-centric, insight-driven, and data-driven sales approaches
- Maintain a professional, responsive, and accountable approach in all customer interactions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in biopharma, life sciences, or related industries
- Experience working with and managing channel partners (distributors) is preferred
- Strong technical understanding of bioprocess workflows and customer applications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and partners
- Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven and strategic mindset
- Results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
- Fluency in English required
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory
