In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams—including Finance, Customer Care, and Operations—to design and deliver scalable analytics solutions. You will help shape how data is leveraged across Thermo Fisher, directly contributing to our ambitious 2030 vision of becoming a $50B revenue organization.

This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and business strategy, and is passionate about building modern, insight-driven analytics capabilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end analytics initiatives—from data extraction and transformation to visualization and insight generation
  • Partner with global stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable BI solutions
  • Design and develop impactful Power BI dashboards and data models that enable data-driven decisions
  • Consolidate and integrate data from multiple enterprise systems (SAP, JDE, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and reliability, including implementation of row-level security and validation frameworks
  • Define and promote best practices for Power BI architecture and analytics standards
  • Support and enhance data pipelines using SQL, ETL processes, and modern data platforms (Python, Databricks)
  • Deliver ad-hoc analyses and actionable insights to support evolving business priorities
  • Explore and implement advanced analytics, AI, and predictive use cases to unlock new business value
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and continuously improve reporting and analytics capabilities

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or similar roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in finance, shared services, consulting, or global environments is a plus

Key Skills & Expertise

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, performance optimization)
  • Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of data modeling and ETL processes
  • Hands-on experience with Python and Databricks (Apache Spark)
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate them into clear insights
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences
  • Experience collaborating in global, cross-functional teams
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality
  • Continuous improvement mindset (Lean, PPI, or similar methodologies preferred)

Why This Role

  • High visibility across global teams and leadership
  • Opportunity to influence how data is used at scale across the organization
  • Exposure to modern data technologies and advanced analytics/AI initiatives
  • A chance to make a direct impact on a fast-growing, mission-driven company
