Within Corporate Technology, the Technology Portfolio Governance Team is responsible for building and continuously improving an internal technology portfolio that enhances visibility, reduces risk, and aligns technology investments with business objectives.
Role Overview
The IT Configuration Analyst supports the governance, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role partners with Configuration Item (CI) owners and IT teams globally to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability, while contributing to CMDB operations, reporting, and process adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update Configuration Items (CIs), including attributes and relationships within the CMDB
- Support CI owners in managing and improving data quality and compliance with governance standards
- Assist in defining and maintaining CI classes, attributes, and relationships
- Manage CMDB-related requests and tasks through the queue, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs
- Contribute to CMDB data quality through audits, validations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Generate reports and dashboards to monitor CMDB health, data quality, and KPIs
- Collaborate with ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management) to support service delivery
- Support training and documentation for CMDB users across the organization
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in CMDB, IT Asset Management, or ITSM environments
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (reporting, basic configuration, and data management)
- Foundational knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery (servers, network, databases, or applications)
- Understanding of Data Reconciliation and IRE concepts is a plus
- Basic knowledge of ITIL framework and ITSM processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured way
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 minimum) required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation Certification (or in progress)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – nice to have
- Exposure to CSDM concepts
