Job Title: Japan Senior Product Specialist - Semiconductor

DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Product Specialist, where you'll support revenue growth and customer success across our innovative product portfolios. In this role, you'll apply your technical expertise and consultative sales approach to identify opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and deliver solutions that enable groundbreaking scientific advances. Working with cross-functional teams, you'll provide technical leadership in customer engagements, conduct product demonstrations, and serve as a trusted advisor to help customers achieve their research and development goals. Your contributions will directly support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Responsibilities:
• Drive PFA (TEM/SDB) pre-sales activities as well as current opportunities & orders
• Ensure product demonstrations are planned to allow customers to witness the differentiation of Thermo Fisher products and technology
• Collaborate with commercial teams to develop technical selling strategies, to identify new trends in the market and to drive new product introductions and support product strategy shifts
• Understand our and our competitors’ products or techniques in detail, transforming this knowledge into clear value and ‘why buy’ statements, value propositions supported by tangible and credible proof
• Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders
• Provide the customer feedback loop to support key application development
• Organize workshops and site visits targeting new customers
• Build a strong understanding of how Thermo Fisher tools can provide differentiated value in the Semiconductor market
REQUIREMENTS:
Required
• Master’s Degree plus 8 years of technical sales experience in Semiconductor, analytical instruments, or related field
• Strong technical understanding of relevant scientific workflows and applications
• Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets in consultative and complex sales environments
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
• Strong collaboration skills across customers and internal cross-functional teams
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
• Bilingual skills (Native Japanese and Business level English)
Preferred
• Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or related scientific field
• Deep knowledge of relevant product technologies and workflows
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience presenting at scientific conferences and trade shows
• Ability to develop and execute territory plans
