Location/Division Specific Information:

Located in Geel, Belgium, this role is part of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Laboratory Chemicals Division. Focusing on delivering world-class solutions and ensuring flawless operations.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

Join us as a Material Handler II and contribute to our success by picking, packing, and labeling chemicals accurately. The impact you will have could be anything from delivering products that help a scientist discover a cure for cancer to helping a nurse care for a patient optimally because they have the right equipment.

A Day in the Life:

  • Perform picking, packing, and labeling activities in accordance with safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Use packaging materials and resources efficiently to minimize waste.
  • Handle and dispose of waste streams according to established procedures.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting.
  • Plus: Experience in a cGMP environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Safe, efficient, and accurate work practices.
  • Collegial attitude and collaborative spirit.
  • Basic understanding of chemistry is advantageous.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with adherence to safety standards.
