Compensation: $23.00/HR
Location: Durham, NC

Shift: First Shift

Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

A Day in the Life:

  • Follow all safety processes and procedures in alignment with Thermo Fisher Scientific safety protocols
  • Participate in safety training and identify/report potential safety concerns
  • Apply PPI Lean tools such as Daily Management Boards, 5S, Standard Work, and Kaizen to improve efficiency
  • Perform material handling activities including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials
  • Conduct receiving inspections and store products in designated locations
  • Pick orders accurately and prepare shipments, including inspection of orders and shipping documentation
  • Complete warehouse tasks such as equipment maintenance, calibration, temperature monitoring, pest control, and housekeeping
  • Follow ISO 9001 Quality System procedures and cGMP guidelines
  • Meet operational and productivity standards

Keys to Success:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in warehousing and material handling
  • Preferred: Forklift experience or ability to become certified within 30 days

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Experience with warehouse operations, RF scanning, inventory management, and shipping/receiving
  • Familiarity with logistics scheduling (LTL) and cycle counts
  • HAZMAT shipping/handling experience preferred
  • Dip tube exchange experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to push/pull materials and operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts
