WPP is looking a Print Artwork Team Lead 
What does a Print/Artwork Lead do at WPP Production?

In this role you will work as an integral part of a talented team of Artworkers. You’ll lead the print artwork team in producing master artworks for press, static digital, KV development, shopper and OOH for well-known global brands. Working in this fast-paced, fun environment, you will ensure that all work adheres to our clients’ guidelines and meets requirements, timelines and deadlines. This role is perfect for someone with an exceptional eye for detail who is eager to progress. In addition, you will have

 Key Responsibilities

  • Check and monitor work briefed to the artworking team
  • Ensure your team creates and delivers consistent, quality work that is on brand, to briefs received, and within timescales agreed
  • Support the Project Management team in Account Management/client briefings
  • Manage your team’s workload, resource levels, timesheets and holiday allocations, and ensure there are open channels of communication with the other studio team leads to maximise the utilisation of resources
  • Communicate with all stakeholders articulately, sharing and documenting issues, knowledge updates, etc. to ensure consistency
  • Mentor, support and train colleagues, new starters and freelancers
  • Demonstrate sound artwork judgment when giving direction or solving problems
  • Supervise your team and any freelancers
  • Manage communication between your team and the wider WPP Production teams (particularly with project and account managers)
  • Support your team and the wider WPP Production teams to resolve issues
  • Identify areas for possible improvement in workflows and processes
  • Manage work using WPP Production technologies and adhere to agreed processes, ensuring that best practice is applied at all times
  • Appreciate, adhere to, and enforce WPP Production’s key policies

 Requirements.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a creative studio environment
  • Have ideally completed an apprenticeship programme or possess an equivalent qualification such as an ABC Diploma in Print Production, BA in Print Media, Diploma in Graphic Design, etc.
  • Proven experience in creative implementation, visualisation, artworking and production
  • Excellent understanding of print production and colour management
  • Strong retouching and visualisation skills
  • Strong layout and typography skills
  • Advanced use of key Creative Suite programs
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proactive in keeping your skills updated and driving your self-improvement
  • Excellent skills in prioritisation, time management and attention to detail
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent oral and written English essential, other languages desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A responsible attitude
  • Confidence in making decisions
  • Previous experience of leading teams in a production environment
