Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the emergency lighting production unit in Dorval.

Main responsibilities:

In this role, you will work in various positions as needed, including operating a wire machine, industrial 
painting, and product assembly. 

Machine Operation 
• Set up, operate, and monitor an automated machine for wire cutting (Artos) or terminal 
crimping. 
• Identify non-conformities and take appropriate corrective action 
• Apply quality procedures and policies 

Industrial Painting 
• Prepare the spray booth and spray gun according to procedures and customer requirements 
• Prepare the surface of parts as needed 
• Apply paint according to work procedures 
• Adjust, prepare, clean, and maintain painting equipment and the work area 
• Inspect and verify quality according to established standards and make touch-ups as needed 

Assembly 
• Interpret assembly drawings and electrical schematics. 
• Make the required connections. 
• Identify any non-conformities regarding welding, part placement, component orientation, and 
polarity. 
• Test mini-inverters. 


Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
  • High school diploma (DES) 
  • Vocational Studies Certificate (AEP) or other recognized training in industrial painting and/or vocational studies in electronics (preferred)  
  • Relevant experience: 
    o 1 to 2 years of experience in spray painting (preferred) 
    o 1 to 4 years of experience in electronic circuit board soldering, electrical work or wiring 
  • Basic knowledge of electronic components, including orientation and polarity 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and parts lists 
  • General knowledge of industrial components and the AS/400 system (a plus) 
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail; precision and thoroughness in performing tasks  
  • Ability to occasionally lift light to medium loads (maximum 30 pounds) 
  • Independence, resourcefulness, and versatility (job rotation required) 
  • Team spirit and ability to work in a dynamic environment 
  • Fluency in French or English, spoken, written, and read
