Your role and responsibilities  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities

The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite 

This role is contributing to Procurement team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Main stakeholders are Electrification Division. 

You will be mainly accountable for: 

• Manage sub projects in sourcing and benchmarking activities  
• Support the local Power User with our eProcurement tools 
• Assist and support in process optimization  
• Report on price development and market intelligence  
• Master Data correction actions & document management  
• External supplier correspondence  and KPI tracking and reporting  
• Organize and prepare supplier visits and audits 

Qualifications for the role 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in economics, engineering, information systems or similar with first supply chain experience 
• Fluent in German and English 
• Confidential handling of MS Excel 
• Good communication skills; shows initiative, self-managing, and well-organized working behavior
• Curiosity and initiative 
• SAP knowledge is a plus 
• You hold a current valid VISA/work permit for Switzerland or a confirmation for a mandatory internship from your university
