Your Role and Responsibilities

As part of the Continuous Improvement team, the role operates in a multinational environment characterized by complex processes and organizational structure.
Guided by ABB values of Collaboration, Care, Curiosity, and Courage, and aligned with the strategic ambition of delivering an Unbeatable Customer Experience, the position leads and supports continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of the local organization, both operational and support functions. The role contributes to performance improvement and operational efficiency through the structured deployment of Qwins, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma frameworks.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

  • Support the deployment of the local Continuous Improvement strategy and objectives, ensuring alignment with global frameworks and business priorities.

  • Promote a strong continuous improvement culture and mindset across the organization.

  • Drive and facilitate measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost, in close collaboration with local leadership and key stakeholders keeping a Customer Centric approach.

  • Conduct end-to-end process analyses to identify improvement opportunities, applying structured Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, while ensuring sustainability of implemented solutions.

  • Promote a fact-based/data-driven approach to decision-making and performance evaluation.

  • Scouting and implementing Innovative Solutions to enhance operational excellence through new approaches, methodologies, and tools.

  • Highlight and address barriers that hinder the successful implementation and adoption of improvement initiatives, facilitating alignment across cross-functional teams.

  • Develop and deliver training materials, standards, and toolkits to support capability building and the dissemination of Continuous Improvement best practices.

  • Monitor and report on programs, initiatives, projects, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure transparency, progress tracking, and results delivery.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Technical studies in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial disciplines, IT, or equivalent.

  • Solid experience and practical application of Continuous Improvement methodologies (Qwins, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).

  • Proven experience in operations or industrial environment, with strong understanding of industrial processes and production line management principles.

  • Knowledge of quality control processes and statistical analysis techniques. Familiarity with industrial systems such as ERP, MES, or comparable platforms.

  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.

  • Collaborative mindset, proactivity, and ability to work effectively in team-based and cross-functional environments. Effective communication skills and strong sense of ownership and commitment, with the ability to consistently deliver results.

  • Demonstrated ability to use data, KPIs, and performance metrics to support decision-making.

  • Will be considered as a plus the digital and automation skills, data analysis and reporting capabilities,  advanced use of tools such as Power BI, Python or similar, knowledge of relational database management and  SQL.
