ABB Electrification Service Sweden delivers critical services and solutions for low- and medium-voltage electrical systems across the country – from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north. With about 60 team members, we are an expanding group focused on improving Accessibility, Reliability, Predictability and Sustainability of power for our customers.

Through broad portfolio of products and services – including care, modernization and advisory for low and medium voltage switchgears, circuit breakers, protection relays and related products – we support essential industries such as pulp & paper, mining & minerals, energy, utilities, and water & wastewater.

In this role as Service Project Operations Manager, you will lead and develop a key part of our organization, including project managers, service contract managers, electrical engineers, as well as our order handling, purchasing and administration teams (led by an assigned team leader). You will set the strategy, streamline processes, and manage resources for successful delivery of service projects, contracts and products to our customers.

The position can preferably be based in Västerås, Karlstad, Skellefteå or Luleå.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the project operations organization including project managers, contract managers, engineering, and the order handling, administration and purchasing team (led by a team leader under your supervision).

  • Oversee project and contract management activities at portfolio level through structured reviews with management and project managers.

  • Act as escalation point for both individual and systemic project and contract management issues, ensuring effective resolution.

  • Ensure proper and timely project and contract closure in accordance with internal and external requirements.

  • Own project and service contract preparations, to serve for successful execution of site work by Field Service Engineer teams.

  • Ensure completion of Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to execution of projects and contracts.

  • Promote continuous improvement of processes across project management, contract management, and parts delivery, based on customer feedback and operational insights.

  • Follow up on operational KPIs and drive improvements to ensure cost-efficient, timely, and high-quality project delivery.

  • Provide the resources, skill development, and leadership needed through coaching, mentorship, and an environment that promotes continuous improvement

Your background

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience with increasing responsibility and scope delivering services to energy, utilities, metals & mining, or manufacturing industries.

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.

  • Experience working with, or managing projects including, electrical installation and services for medium voltage and low voltage products and systems is mandatory.

  • Good understanding of electrical infrastructure and design.

  • Experience in collaboration and negotiations with customers and suppliers.

  • A clear focus on safe work practices and commitment to following workplace safety guidelines.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and clear written and spoken communication skills.

  • Travelling required approximately ~20%.
