About the Role

You will be a member of the team that manages ABB Robotics' Treasury activities in China and in the future across Asia, optimizing cash flows and liquidity by managing treasury operations and facilitating the execution of the group's regional treasury activities. You will be responsible for monitoring daily treasury activities, including liquidity management, trade finance, intercompany transactions, foreign exchange operations, and other treasury transactions.

The team is responsible for the liquidity, Fx exposure management, banking infrastructure, and bank accounts, and ensures its systems and processes operate efficiently, securely, and in full compliance with local regulatory requirements and Corporate Treasury standards.

You will collaborate closely with the China Treasury Manager, the Global Treasury team, business leaders and  Finance team to ensure that core treasury capabilities are in place and fully scalable for the company's future growth across Asia. This role is part of the Global Treasury organization.

Key Responsibilities

Liquidity Management

  • Monitor liquidity of the group in China and Asia, managing stand-alone and pooled bank accounts.
  • Ensure optimal daily cash positioning.
  • Execute cash centralization processes, ensuring efficient movement of funds within the Group.
  • Conduct cashflow forecasting for China and Asia entities in collaboration with the local business partners.

Foreign Exchange Operations

  • Arrange and execute foreign exchange settlement and purchase transactions per business and payment needs.
  • Monitor FX exposures and support FX risk management initiatives in the region.

Treasury & Payment Operations

  • Maintain standardized, secure, and compliant payment processes across China and relevant Asian countries.
  • Ensure timely confirmation, matching, and settlement of all treasury trades.
  • Execute bank-side operations for bill packages, including bank acceptance drafts (BAD) and commercial drafts.
  • Manage paper-based transfers and counter payments as required.

Online & Offline Banking Services

  • Manage bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of internal records versus bank statements.
  • Oversee e-banking token-related matters including approval and allocation.
  • Handle receipt and voucher management across all accounts.
  • Maintain local banking portals, manage KYC requirements, and ensure regulatory documentation is current.
  • Manage bank-related seals and agreement documents.

Special Transactions & Accounts

  • Coordinate with banks on special transactions, including letters of guarantee, letters of credit, and other structured instruments.
  • Administer special financial accounts, including Alipay, Dilian, and other designated accounts.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Chinese and regional banking regulations and ensure adherence at all times.
  • Monitor intercompany loan agreements, coordinating documentary requirements with local management.
  • Manage E-Banking portal access and maintain strong security control under the supervisory of the Group Treasury Control function.
  • Engage actively with banking partners and advisors to stay ahead of regulatory changes.
  • Perform bank account reconciliations versus internal records and support internal audit processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

  • University degree (Bachelor) in Finance, Banking, or Accounting.
  • Further professional treasury qualifications are a plus.

Professional Experience

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in a treasury function within a global company, including currency exposure management, cash management, trade finance, and financial analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Chinese banking practices, including RMB operations, PBOC regulations, SAFE requirements, and local payment systems.
  • Experience with bill package operations (BAD, commercial drafts, Dilian) is strongly preferred.

Technical & Domain Skills

  • Strong understanding of cash and liquidity management operations such as cash pools and commercial payments.
  • Solid background in payments infrastructure, including both domestic Chinese and cross-border payment systems.
  • Adequate analytical skills and proficiency with financial data tools.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to effectively adhere to strict deadlines in a high-volume operational environment.
  • Team player with a proactive mindset, adaptable to a dynamic multicultural environment.
  • Strong communication skills for effective liaison with banks, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

Languages

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (required for local banking operations and regulatory communications).
  • Proficient in English (required for regional and global coordination).
  • Other Asian languages are a plus.
