Reporting to the Local CEO, this General Manager role will drive local Allianz Partner business across different lines of business/ segments mainly in Mobility, Assistance products and Digital Services in line with global strategy and direction. His/her main focus is to maximize profitable and sustainable growth in any given segments. S/he is a true driving force towards excellence in customer, partner and employee experience, leading through influence in a global organization. S/he will orchestrate and collaborate across all functions and Sales teams to drive business performance and execute priorities. The General Manager  will also act as key change agent to implement Allianz Partners transformation locally.

This executive will lead the development and execution of profitable growth strategies through strong execution of priority initiatives and enterprise leadership. S/he will leverage the core competencies of the business and Allianz Partners while managing a team in a matrix organization, collaborating effectively with functional leaders across the world. S/he is accountable for the results, with a main focus on business development with new partnerships, extending the existing portfolio and drive constantly smart growth. S/he will drive local engagement across teams, act as first line of defense and will be the key Allianz Partners representative for employees, local business partners, regulators and other stakeholders. S/he works in a fast-paced, international environment and is locally based, reporting to the Regional Managing Director.

What You Will Do

• Develop and execute the market business strategy, translating the organization's vision into clear priorities, growth plans, and measurable objectives that deliver sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and long-term value creation across all Lines of Business.
• Lead the market's commercial agenda by identifying, prioritizing, and capturing growth opportunities, expanding strategic partnerships, increasing market share, and driving new business, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities in alignment with local and global priorities.
• Partner closely with global Lines of Business, Sales teams, and functional leaders to define and implement growth strategies, anticipate market trends, and deliver customer-centric solutions that respond to evolving partner and customer needs.
• Drive business performance through sound commercial, operational, and financial decision-making, balancing short-term results with long-term strategic objectives while ensuring the optimal allocation of resources and investments.
• Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, regulators, industry stakeholders, and internal leaders, acting as a trusted advisor and ambassador for Allianz Partners in the market.
• Lead organizational transformation and change initiatives, translating global strategies into effective local execution, fostering innovation, challenging conventional thinking, and promoting new ways of working that enhance competitiveness and business performance.
• Foster a high-performance culture by empowering teams, promoting accountability, encouraging collaboration, and creating an environment where employees are motivated to contribute, innovate, challenge constructively, and continuously improve.
• Champion talent development and succession planning by identifying, developing, and retaining high-potential talent, building future leadership capabilities, and strengthening organizational resilience and long-term performance.
• Ensure strong alignment across functions, promoting effective collaboration within a matrix organization to deliver commercial objectives, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
• Act as the local representative of Allianz Partners, safeguarding the company's reputation, promoting its values, and ensuring alignment between local execution and global strategic priorities.
• Maintain effective governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to internal policies, corporate guidelines, legal requirements, industry regulations, and first-line defense responsibilities.
• Serve as the ultimate accountable leader for market performance, business continuity, and crisis management, ensuring appropriate controls, governance processes, and response mechanisms are in place to protect the business, its customers, and its reputation.

 

What You Will Bring

• Demonstrable experience in the B2B sales and large client management
• Demonstrable experience in business development
• Demonstrable experience in working in an international, fast paced organization
• Ability to analyze and evaluate complex strategic issues
• MBA or advanced certifications preferred, but not required
• Experience in managing a P&L
• Experience in financial services industry
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and working in hybrid organizational setups.
• Business Acumen: Exceptional business and financial acumen, with a deep understanding of commercial drivers, profitability, and market dynamics. Able to assess complex business opportunities, challenge assumptions, and support strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.
• Growth mindset with commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
• Digital and data-driven mindset with the ability and curiosity to leverage data, insights and emerging technologies, including AI tools, to support decision-making and commercial performance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze market trends, financial data and business metrics to make informed decisions and identify commercial opportunities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations and other relevant stakeholders, to deliver a seamless, customer-centric experience.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Good command of English.
• Availability to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
