JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

 

Are you looking for a unique opportunity at the intersection of strategy, executive decision-making, and global asset management? You will support the Strategy & Executive Office team, based in Munich and operating in a global environment, on both day-to-day executive office activities and project-based work related to key strategic initiatives across Allianz Asset Management.

In this role, you will work on a wide range of strategic and organizational topics, support cross-functional initiatives, and contribute to the preparation of decision-relevant materials for senior executives. By interacting closely with senior management and key stakeholders across the organization, you will gain in-depth insight into the asset management industry and develop a strong understanding of how strategic decisions are prepared, discussed, and implemented at the executive level.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

• Support senior leadership on key strategic priorities and executive-level topics
• Contribute to high-impact strategic and cross-functional projects across Allianz Asset Management, from analysis to implementation
• Develop executive-level presentations, briefing materials, and decision-relevant content for internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct quantitative analyses, market research, and competitor assessments to generate actionable insights
• Support ad-hoc strategic initiatives and special projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, and global environment

 

WHAT YOU BRING

 

• Advanced studies in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, or a related field
• Previous internship experience in financial services, consulting, audit, or a similarly fast-paced environment is a strong advantage
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Familiarity with AI tools, such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, is an advantage
• Comfortable working with senior management in a time-critical and often ambiguous environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex topics in a structured and quantitative manner
• High level of independence, reliability, and attention to detail, with the ability to proactively drive tasks to completion
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (written and spoken)
