Last Mile Team Lead, Sub Same Day

DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Last Mile Team Leader to lead Sub Same Day Operations in the São Paulo metro region. This leader will own the On The Road (OTR) area, ensuring ultra-fast deliveries with the highest standards of safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
You will drive network strategy and execution - routing, transportation, process and delivery execution - partnering with Operations, ACES, and Tech teams to build scalable solutions.

Key job responsibilities
•Safety: Own safety culture and compliance across all nodes in the region
•People: Develop and lead Delivery Operations Analysts, driving high performance and engagement
•Operational Performance: Monitor and optimize key metrics with real-time management
•Capacity & Transportation: Size fleet and resources according to forecasted demand, ensuring coverage and cost efficiency
•Route Optimization: Propose improvements in route-length, cycle time, and stop sequencing
•OTR Projects: Lead lane expansion, capacity adjustments, and geographic coverage growth
•Continuous Improvement: Eliminate defects via RCA, implement mechanisms (Gemba, audits, WBR/DBR), and reduce cost per package
•Expansion: Support launches of new SSD nodes in the metro area
•Willing to work during weekends/holidays


A day in the life
As a Last Mile Manager in SSD Transportation, you will work at the intersection of customer promise, transportation capacity, technology, and operations. The role combines strategic with operational execution. You will use data to identify structural opportunities, develop scalable transportation solutions, and work with stakeholders to translate strategy into measurable improvements for our customers and delivery network.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in managing teams
- Experience in a logistics/operations environment
- Willingness to travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
