As a Software Development manager, you will identify, hire and build cross geography teams of Software Engineers to define, drive and execute on this vision. You will initiate processes that allow the team to collaborate with local as well as global teams with a high degree of efficiency. This role will lead the software development for the TITANS team. The TITANS team is responsible for empowering Amazon's transportation planning and network optimization operations with full-stack software tools, enabling business planning teams with workflow and planning automation platforms that drive multi-million-dollar network decisions

You will develop teams of highly motivated and talented individuals that can collaborate with Product\Program Managers , Supply Chain Managers and Software Engineers across the company on this high impact initiative. You will be the technical leader for architecting and delivering mission-critical transportation planning, configuration, and network optimization systems that power Amazon's transportation business

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
