Manager, MX Relay Ops

Mexico , Mexico City
Full-time

DESCRIPTION:

ROC MX is Amazon's Relay Operations Center for Mexico, owning real-time monitoring, triage, and resolution of linehaul and network disruptions across the Mexico middle-mile network. This Program Manager will own cross-functional programs spanning linehaul performance (DEA), carrier/custody escalations, cross-border (XBorder) flow, and ad-hoc automation initiatives

Key job responsibilities
- Based in Mexico, or open to relocation
- Strong transportation/logistics/supply chain operations background
- Experience owning WBR reporting and operational control cadences (MX ATS WBR context: Tuesdays ~9:05 AM CST)
- Data fluency (SQL, Excel at minimum; Python/Tableau/BigQuery a plus)
- Cross-functional program ownership - not just analysis, but execution and stakeholder alignment
- Fluent Spanish (native/business-level) + working English for ROW collaboration

Nice-to-Haves
- Direct Relay Operations Center experience in a 24/7 operations environment
- Linehaul/last-mile network optimization experience (routing, SLA, capacity)
- Experience with disruption response - civil disruptions, road closures, carrier failures (a recurring MX ROC theme: protests/manifestaciones - affecting routes)
- Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process excellence background
- Exposure to automation/ad-hoc detection tooling (MX Ad-hoc Automation Tool is actively being built - Lokesh Sharma leading)

A day in the life
- Stabilize WBR and LH-to-DEA reporting cadence for MX ROC.
- Drive a measurable network resilience/efficiency win - referencing recent benchmarks like the WK25 MX Network Resilience Report (LM -Rescue Efficiency 94.5%, LH-to-DEA improved 52% WoW)
- Support rollout of the MX Ad-hoc Automation Tool, reducing manual ad-hoc detection effort
- Establish governance continuity through the Carlos Aguirre → Sethu leadership transition - including clean handling of PID/HC/transfer backlogs (e.g., open PID assignment issues flagged in Sep 2026)
- Partner with Finance/PXT on headcount compliance given MX's current hiring-pause constraints
