ML Data Center Delivery Program Manager, ML Capacity Delivery

United States , Seattle
Salary: $127,200 – $172,100 Annually
Full-time

DESCRIPTION:

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Delivery Operations team seeks a Senior Program Manager to serve as the operational backbone of the Machine Learning (ML) Capacity Delivery organization. The person in this seat owns the rhythm of the business, ensures leadership is always decision-ready, and drives the mechanisms that keep a large, fast-moving ML infrastructure delivery organization aligned and accountable. The Senior Program Manager operates with full autonomy, shapes operating strategy, and influences outcomes at the Director and Vice President level.

Key job responsibilities

Own the ML Capacity Delivery rhythm of business end-to-end - design, run, and continuously improve the operating cadence across weekly business reviews (WBRs), monthly business reviews (MBRs), and quarterly business reviews (QBRs); ensure each mechanism produces decisions, not just updates.
Drive organizational goal-setting and goal-tracking cycles; partner with senior leaders to translate ML capacity delivery strategy into measurable quarterly and annual goals, track progress against them weekly, and surface risks before they become misses.
Own document readiness for all leadership forums; set and enforce timelines for narrative preparation, pre-read distribution, and post-meeting action tracking; hold contributors accountable to quality and deadline standards.
Author and edit executive-level narratives, escalation memos, and business review documents on behalf of the ML Capacity Delivery leadership team; produce clear, data-driven written communication for Director and VP audiences with no supervision.
Serve as the primary coordination layer across stakeholders - including finance, recruiting, engineering, and technical program management - to resolve cross-functional dependencies, align on priorities, and drive decisions at pace.
Identify gaps in organizational visibility; build and maintain reporting dashboards and scorecards that give leadership a real-time view of ML capacity delivery health, headcount, and program milestones.
Lead the annual and mid-year headcount planning cycle for the ML Capacity Delivery organization; partner with finance and recruiting to translate demand signals into staffing plans with clear owners and milestones.
Manage the leadership team's strategic calendar - sequence the right conversations at the right cadence, eliminate redundant forums, and protect senior leader time for high-leverage decisions.
Mentor junior program managers on operating rigor, written communication standards, and stakeholder management; establish and codify best practices across the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 6+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
