Program Manager, Amazon Japan Last Mile

Japan , Tokyo
Full-time

DESCRIPTION:

Amazon Japan is in one of its most exciting growth phases. We are rapidly expanding our core delivery station network at scale - and this year, we are also launching Quick Commerce and Sub Same-Day Delivery, two businesses that will redefine speed and convenience for our customers. With more stations, greater complexity, and an ever-increasing need for operational excellence, this is the perfect time to join our team.

We are looking for a Program Manager to drive delivery quality improvement across assigned regions. You will work at the intersection of data analysis and field operations, partnering with site managers to identify issues, propose scalable solutions, and raise the quality bar across a growing network. The improvements you drive will have a direct and measurable impact on millions of customers.

After reviewing your profile, our recruiting team will carefully assess your background and experience to guide you to the team that is the best fit for you. Below are the teams currently hiring for this role:

In this role, you will focus on improving delivery quality metrics and optimizing operations within an assigned region (e.g., Kanto, Kansai). Your work will involve designing and executing improvement measures through data-driven decision-making, driving the introduction and standardization of new systems and processes, and solving operational challenges in close partnership with on-the-ground teams.

Launch Team
The Launch Team operates at the forefront of Amazon's global logistics network expansion. In this role, you will lead projects involving site selection for new facilities, layout design, and budget acquisition - collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to develop specialized skills across diverse areas, including launch planning, stakeholder management, and capacity optimization for the entire Japan network.

Operations Team
The Operations Team plays a central role at Amazon's Delivery Stations, which form the backbone of the logistics network. In this role, you will support the stable daily operation of delivery processes while driving on-site problem-solving and process improvement to ensure fast and reliable delivery to customers. You will lead operations in close coordination with various stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for improving key delivery quality indicators - including on-time delivery rate and redelivery rate - across multiple delivery stations. Through large-scale data analysis, you will identify root causes and prioritize improvement activities, working closely with site managers to align on solutions and drive execution. You will also establish standard work practices that elevate quality across your region and support the onboarding of new delivery stations as the network continues to expand.
