DESCRIPTION:

AWS is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Database Finance team supporting our database services portfolio, including DynamoDB, ElastiCache, DocumentDB, Neptune, Keyspaces, MemoryDB, and Timestream. This role owns go-to-market (GTM) and sales pipeline analytics, partnering with Sales, Business Development, and Product teams to translate pipeline signal into revenue insight. You will build the analytical foundation that connects customer demand, deal economics, and long-range revenue forecasting for one of the fastest-growing segments in AWS.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the analysis of the database services sales pipeline across stages, segments, and regions. Quantify pipeline coverage, conversion rates, deal velocity, and win/loss trends, and translate those movements into revenue implications.
- Build and maintain revenue forecasts that incorporate pipeline signal, in-year actuals, and committed weekly growth rates.
- Deliver recurring reporting for weekly business reviews and monthly financial reviews, with clear narrative on pipeline health and revenue trajectory.
- Query large revenue and usage datasets to build repeatable, self-service analytics. Improve the accuracy and cadence of pipeline reporting by automating manual processes and strengthening data controls.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Economics
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
