Site leader , Sub Same Day Operations

DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Site Leader to manage Sub Same Day (SSD) operations at one of our fulfillment nodes in the São Paulo metro region. This role is responsible for end-to-end operational performance under the roof - from inbound transfer receipt from feeder FCs through processing, sortation, and dispatch to last mile - ensuring delivery promises of 3 hours or less are consistently met. The Site Leader will own safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across multiple dispatch cycles daily, driving a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key job responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Own site safety culture, drive zero-incident mindset, ensure compliance with all local labor laws and Amazon safety standards;
- Operational Performance: Manage inbound receipt, processing, sortation, and dispatch operations across 5+ daily dispatch cycles, ensuring on-time readiness (OTR)
- People Leadership: Lead, develop, and engage a team of blue badges and associates; own hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and shift scheduling
- Cost & Productivity: Drive labor efficiency targets (throughput per hour, bags/minute), manage headcount planning, overtime utilization, and variable cost per package; identify and implement productivity improvement initiatives
- Quality & Defect Management: Own package handling quality, minimize mis-sorts, mis-routes, and damage rates; drive root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for defects impacting delivery success
- Stakeholder Coordination: Partner with Transportation, Last Mile, and upstream FC teams to manage inbound flow, dispatch readiness, and route planning; escalate systemic issues with clear - Metrics & Reporting: Monitor real-time operational dashboards, track KPIs (OTR, throughput, labor utilization, defect rates), and provide daily/weekly performance narratives to senior leadership

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
- Experience in logistics
- Experience in same-day or ultra-fast delivery operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Experience in team leadership
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
