Software Development Engineer, Creative Asset Library, CreativeX

United States , Seattle
Salary: $143,700 – $194,400 Annually
Full-time

DESCRIPTION:

We own both sides of the ad creative experience for Amazon DSP, the advertiser experience (AX) where advertisers build and manage creatives across display, video, and streaming TV, and the customer experience (CX) where those creatives render and deliver personalized content to hundreds of millions of shoppers at impression time. We operate the full creative lifecycle from authoring through real-time serving, and are actively deploying agentic AI systems that autonomously generate, validate, and activate creatives across both surfaces.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions that enable new features and improve existing systems, applying sound judgment when making tradeoffs between scalability, maintainability, performance, and security.
- Own the full development lifecycle for major portions of your team's software, including scoping, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support, ensuring root causes of issues are identified and permanently resolved.
- Write clear documentation covering what your software does, how it is constructed and operated, and how it fits into the broader architecture, actively training new team members on these systems.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand business and customer value, ensuring solutions address real needs while evaluating opportunities to leverage generative artificial intelligence tools where appropriate.
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing meaningful feedback to engineers across experience levels, and mentor teammates on producing high-quality, maintainable code.

About the team
The team owns the central creative asset platform for Amazon Ads - the universal repository where advertisers upload once and activate everywhere across display, video, OLV, streaming TV, and audio. We operate services that power the advertiser-facing UIs, media processing pipelines, and 3P ingestion services that scale worldwide. We're replacing today's fragmented per-format silos with standardized primitives that work across all Amazon Ads surfaces, building end-to-end asset management for every ad creative format. Our AI-powered asset pipelines use generative AI to produce thousands of campaign-ready creatives per day with zero manual effort from advertisers. We're launching asset management platform where advertisers provide logos, fonts, colors, and guidelines once, and the system automatically enforces brand consistency across every format and campaign.
