DESCRIPTION:

The Operations Manager within Books business is a high-impact role focused on delivering a strong customer experience, operational excellence, and sustainable business performance. You will lead the day-to-day operations of a books operation in Brazil, with responsibility for safety, quality, productivity, people development, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on Operations role. A strong presence on the floor, close engagement with the team, and direct ownership of operational results are essential.

Key job responsibilities
• Promote an exemplary safety culture, making the health and safety of our teams our top priority.
• Lead and develop a team of Area Managers and team leaders, creating an environment where talent development and innovation are central to your management style.
• Take complete responsibility for the safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of the operation.
• Drive process improvements while keeping pace with our growth, motivating others to meet the challenges of a launch environment.
• Design and deploy continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analysis and operational expertise.
• Mentor, train, and develop teammates for career progression and learning.
• Conduct internal and external benchmarking and actively contribute to sharing best practices within the Print on Demand network.


About the team
The International Make on Demand organization operates across multiple countries and brings together two businesses: Print on Demand and Merch on Demand. Our mission is to help authors and content creators bring their ideas to customers. The team is multinational, multicultural, and multilingual, offering meaningful exposure to global operations and cross-functional collaboration. This role will lead the Print on Demand operation in Brazil, with opportunities to take on broader scope and complexity over time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Experience in people management and team development
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
