Sr. Procurement Manager - Transportation, Surface Transportation Procurement

DESCRIPTION:

Join us as a Procurement Leader for transportation sourcing.

We are looking for a talented leader who can solve ambiguous sourcing challenges in a fast paced and tech centric environment.

You will be joining the Amazon Transportation Service Operations organization.
In this role, you are expected to drive procurement innovation as well as drive new ways of working with internal stakeholders to enable new transportation deals that impact our Supply Chain and Middle Mile Operations.

Key job responsibilities
- Source for transportation solutions and fostering synergies with Amazon suppliers and offerings.
- Set new mechanisms and processes to engage with internal stakeholders effectively to create value propositions to suppliers.
- Drive innovation and accountability with process and mechanisms that set procurement for success.

- Translate business needs, such as demand, into deals

About the team
You will join the ST Procurement team is part of Amazon Transportation Services Operations that is in charge of Amazon Middle Miles. It includes 4 verticals:

- 3rd Party Line Haul Procurement for Middle Mile Operations ;
- Yard Procurement (shunting and offsite parkings)
- Strategics deals
- Driver and Carrier Experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis
- Experience in transportation operations and industry knowledge
- Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record
- Business conduct in multi-cultural environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master's degree
- Comfortable with AI prompting and agent building. Coding is a plus.
- German, Polish, Italian or French speaking is a plus.
