As a Solution Architect within Amazon Internet Services Pvt Ltd (AISPL), you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services within strategic accounts and partners. Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, and developing a deep expertise in the Amazon Web Services technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the Amazon Web Services platform.

The ideal candidate will possess customer-facing skills that will allow him/her to represent AISPL well within a customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel within the company, as well as a technical background that enables him/her to easily interact and give guidance to software developers and architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key technical member of the Retail/CPG Account team in helping to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the Amazon Web Services platform.
- Scope each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria.
- Own each technical engagement, and help ensure a timely and successful delivery of value. (delivery of actual solutions to be done by Amazon Web Services partners)
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the solution architect community.
- Understand the Amazon Web Services market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.

Key job responsibilities
This role is within the Retail/CPG team in Amazon Web Services India (AWS India) and based out of
Delhi

- As a Solutions Architect, you'll help your customers plan their successful cloud journey leveraging emerging technologies like GenAI to achieve business outcomes. You'll solve complex, technical challenges so your customers can focus on their business. This includes using your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. You'll drive or take part in technical solutions discussions, diving deep into the details with customer teams.

- Building relationships to understand our customers and partners is key. As a trusted technical advisor, you'll use your interpersonal skills to influence a variety of stakeholders from technical teams to executives. You'll help ensure their short-term technology decisions are aligned with their long-term goals. Speeding up the adoption of our services will be part of your day to day.

- You'll also act as thought leader in the wider community. This includes taking part in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops. You won't just be part of an industry movement; you'll be leading it.

- As a customer obsessed advisor, you'll also have the chance to shape the direction of our products and services. This is through gathering feedback from customers whilst collaborating with our engineering and service teams.

A day in the life
The Solutions Architect team at AWS is responsible for helping customers successfully implement cloud technologies. In a typical week you will meet multiple customers, and you will collaborate with them on designing and operating well-architected solutions. You will earn their trust and show them the art of the possible, educating them around the capabilities of AWS. Partnering with internal teams and experts, leveraging a deep knowledge of our tools and products, you'll craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address our customers' business problems. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to continuously learn and innovate daily.


About the team
Retail/CPG Solutions Architects work hand in hand with AWS customers to help drive AWS services adoption. They are at the crossroads of business and technology and engage with customers of different stages. Supporting the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS, they work to understand the customer's business needs and give prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with technology. Solutions Architects also have broader impact at scale, taking a supporting role in creating and presenting technical content and best practices.

You will be part of a team that is responsible for driving adoption of AWS technologies while bringing differentiated value to customers. This is a team dedicated to some of the largest Brands/Services/Ecommerce customers in India . This customers follow unique technology adoption patterns and growth trajectories that distinguish them from traditional businesses, so you will be employing engagement strategies and programs tailored to their business needs and technical preferences.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 6+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 3+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- 3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
