DESCRIPTION:

A Transportation Specialist at NOC facilitates flow of information between different stakeholders (Warehouses/Category teams/Carriers) and resolves any potential issues that impact customer experience and business continuity. Transportation Specialist at NOC works across Inbound operations.
Inbound Operations deals with Vendor/Carrier/FC relationship, to plan the freight for delivery in warehouses as per given appointment time. Transportation Specialist on Inbound addresses any potential issues occurring during the lifecycle of forecasting to actual delivery of the appointment.

Key job responsibilities
A Transportation Specialist provides timely resolution to the issue in hand by researching and querying internal tools and by taking real-time decisions. An ideal candidate should be able to understand the requirements/be able to analyze data and notice trends and be able to drive Customer Experience without compromising on time. The candidate should have the basic understanding of Logistics and should be able to communicate clearly in the written and verbal form.

A day in the life
A Transportation Specialist is responsible for addressing vendor/seller requests via mails/calls/Ticketing mechanism in a timely manner within an ambiguous environment using data analysis and other tools. This requires high level of ownership by facilitating flow of information, reporting progress and identifying blockers & providing resolutions. A Transportation Specialist will insist on high standards while addressing requests, removing barriers and proposing solutions for better vendor experience.

About the team
NOC Inbound Team manages and owns the end to end execution of vendor's/seller's shipment inbounding process. This includes Appointment scheduling & prioritization, Appt sidelining and rescue, Appt modification etc and other related process/tasks across IN and ECCF countries.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
- Experience with Excel
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Excellent time-management skills
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
