The Opportunity
Scotland's infrastructure is undergoing significant transformation to support decarbonisation, energy security, economic growth and community resilience. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer at Associate / Principal Engineer grade to join our Glasgow based Energy Water & Resources team to support our project delivery.
Our current portfolio covers a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects in the Renewable Energy, Nuclear, Maritime and Defence sectors. Typical examples include; pumped storage hydro developments, HV transmission infrastructure, major wastewater utility renewals and ports and harbour regeneration projects.
Arup has had an office in Glasgow for close to 60 years now and you will be joining a well-established and growing team. You will have the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced engineers, project managers and specialists from across the UK and beyond, contributing to projects that span a broad range of sectors and disciplines.
You will have the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from initial concept stage and feasibility studies through to detailed design, project delivery and construction support.
You will take ownership of project delivery activities, help shape technical solutions, and contribute to the development of both our clients' projects and the wider team. As our Glasgow team continues to grow, you will have genuine opportunities to influence project delivery, support business development activities and help shape the future direction of our civil engineering capability.
