Coffee Shop Assistant - Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone

As a Coffee Shop Assistant, you will report to the Coffee Shop Manager and Supervisors and play an important role in delivering an exceptional experience for our visitors. Supporting the Coffee Shop Manager, you will help create a welcoming atmosphere and provide outstanding customer service to everyone who visits.

This varied and fast-paced role includes preparing and serving drinks and food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and ensuring the Coffee Shop remains a warm and inviting place for guests. If you enjoy working with people and thrive in a busy environment, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Leas Cliff Hall team.

The position will include weekend working.

Please note, your role may involve working with children or vulnerable people.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet and engage with audience members, ensuring they feel genuinely welcomed to the venue and treated appropriately as an important and valued customer.
  • Produce and serve high-quality drinks and food.
  • Assist in cleaning activities in the coffee shop and outside.
  • Proactively suggest and sell products.
  • Ensure you work to the highest hygiene standards to ensure customer and staff wellbeing.
  • Ensure the accurate and safe handling of stock in line with company procedures.
  • Proactively identify risks to customer or staff health, safety or security and take appropriate actions to keep everyone safe. Ensure company Risk Management policies and guidance are complied with.
  • Work collaboratively as a team member, working well with others to ensure all required tasks are completed.
  • Proactively identify tasks which need to be done and take responsibility for completing them.
  • To be aware of food allergens and safety, ensuring our guests' requirements are catered for.
  • To undertake all training required for the role.
