DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes Platform)

Your Role

DevOps activities on Enterprise Application platform of an Operator based on Kubernetes environments, enabling application teams to deploy and maintain Python-based solutions and Kubernetes workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, implement DevOps solution
  • Support, administer, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters.
  • Assist teams with deploying Python scripts and Kubernetes YAML manifests.
  • Implement DevOps and cloud-native best practices.
  • Maintain reliable, secure, and scalable platform services.

Your Profile

  • Strong technical background with experience
  • Hands-on Python development for automation and operational tasks.
  • Strong Kubernetes administration and deployment expertise.
  • Experience with DevOps tools:
    • Argo CD
    • Azure DevOps (ADO)
    • GitHub
    • Harbor
    • JFrog
    • HashiCorp Vault
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
  • Monitoring and observability expertise using Prometheus and Grafana.

Success Criteria

  • Enable efficient deployment and operation of Kubernetes workloads.
  • Improve automation through Python and DevOps tooling.
  • Ensure platform reliability, security, and operational excellence.
  • Provide proactive support to application teams and EAP initiatives.

Need to know

  • All roles will require a level of security clearance; BPSS OR Security Clearance OR Developed Vetting.
  • Due to the nature of the project, this role requires eligibility for SC clearance. Candidates must either hold active SC clearance or meet the UK residency requirements necessary to obtain the required level of security clearance.
  • Hybrid Working: This is a permanent role with Capgemini, offering a hybrid working model. Occasional travel to the client site in Newbury will be required.
