Cybersecurity Engineer

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan, build, implement, and manage advanced cybersecurity solutions tailored to company’s specific requirements
  • Perform installation of required patches and/or code updates in response to security vulnerabilities
  • Partner with Senior Engineer to build runbooks and playbooks for the cybersecurity solutions services and changes
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Business Units, and all areas of the CISO organization, to integrate security into all aspects of the company’s operations
  • Based on industry-best standards, develop and maintain technical standards and system configuration documentation, physical and logical diagrams, knowledge base articles, and runbooks for the proper transition of services to external managed service providers
  • Occasional travel within continental U.S. as needed, up to 5%
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and 4 to 6 years working experience and proficiency in IT Security or Operations or High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) and 7 to 9 plus years of on-the-job experience in IT Security
  • Proficiency with Microsoft desktop operating systems.
  • Proficiency with patching programs and client compute security requirements.
  • CompTIA Security+ or Certified information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • Working experience with Active Directory group policy for the standardization of device configurations.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to provide operational support off hours and as required in a 24/7 environment.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of Cyber Security frameworks and methodology such as CIS Benchmarks and/or NIST.
  • Experience scripting Microsoft Exchange PowerShell commands needed to automate deployments.
  • Experience with supporting technologies such as Active Directory, scripting, and/or patching, cybersecurity solutions or tools for endpoint or network security
