Senior Manager, Industry Insights

Focus, Scope, and Impact

The role is focused on gleaning high-quality, actionable insights, anchored in data and facts, to impact business results and growth. You will identify emerging trends, quantify market outlooks, and provide a comprehensive understanding of industry drivers and inhibitors while also analyzing how these factors impact volume and share performance. Stitching together multiple data sources and learnings to create a holistic and shared understanding among all stakeholders will be key. What You'll Do for Us  

• Develop a detailed understanding of country, category, and channel-level macro and industry trends, using data-driven analysis to uncover local dynamics and inform broader industry insights for strategic decision-making. 
• Connect different research, data, and insights sources to align prioritization of key issues and opportunities, and nurture a compelling business strategy
• Partner with senior leaders to develop, localize, enhance, and deploy insights that drive strategic decision-making at the Operating Unit (OU) level and across functions.
• Support Country Strategy Leads by helping them leverage insights across multiple data points to localize and enhance the Country plan
• Develop and implement action plans with functions/country teams to capitalize on identified opportunity areas/threats. Own and drive these key projects
• Partner and collaborate inside and outside the department with Functions/Regional & Global teams/Bottling partners/Data services to share learnings and best practices
• Drive the development with partner teams for the delivery of reports utilizing live data flows and advanced technologies to democratize insights across teams
• Apply knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform better business decisions

Qualifications & Requirements

6+ years' experience in business development roles such as Strategy, Marketing, Business planning, Insights, RGM, Finance or Commercial or related areas, ideally in the FMCG space.

• Synthesis and storytelling to translate data and insights into powerful business stories
• Ability to identify noise from signals in a saturated data environment. Converges contextual data from multiple sources into specific perspectives. Understands the different sources of data required to drive choices and solutions to the business.
• Problem framing and problem-solving capabilities to better direct research and analysis requirements; comfort with ambiguity
• AI/machine learning basics to explore innovation in analytical methodologies 
• Intermediate to advanced analytics foundations to read, interpret and challenge different analytical tools
• Facilitation skills and business acumen to drive better conversations into practical applications
