CHEF MANAGER | QUEENS PARK COMMUNITY SCHOOL | £39,000

40 hours per week | Term time only, 44.6 weeks per year | Monday to Friday

CH&CO are now recruiting for an experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Queens Park Community School.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Chef Manager who enjoys leading a team, creating great food and delivering an excellent catering service within a busy school environment.

As Chef Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the catering operation, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, food safety and customer satisfaction.

You will lead and develop the kitchen team, manage resources effectively and ensure the catering operation runs efficiently while delivering fresh, high-quality food every day.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Managing and supervising the day-to-day catering operation

• Preparing, cooking and serving food to agreed standards and specifications

• Leading, motivating and developing the catering team

• Ensuring excellent standards of food quality, presentation and service

• Managing food ordering, stock control, deliveries and storage

• Ensuring the efficient and economic use of stock, equipment and team resources

• Managing food costs and minimising waste

• Maintaining high standards of Food Safety, HACCP, Health & Safety and allergen compliance

• Completing required paperwork and maintaining accurate catering records

• Building positive relationships with the school, customers and wider team

• Supporting occasional hospitality and events when required

• Ensuring all company and statutory standards are consistently maintained

WHO YOU ARE:

• Proven experience managing a successful kitchen or catering operation

• Strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for fresh, quality food

• Experience leading, motivating and developing a small team

• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety requirements

• Commercially aware with good financial and budget management skills

• Organised, proactive and able to manage a busy catering environment

• Excellent communication and people management skills

• Confident holding yourself and others accountable for delivering high standards

• Customer-focused with a strong understanding of customer service

• IT literate and comfortable completing catering administration and paperwork

• A minimum of 2 years' catering experience

• Basic Food Hygiene qualification
